Do you have something cool on your android phone? Would you like to know how to take a screenshot of that android phone without having to break out your digital camera? If you answered yes then you are in luck! I am going to show you a step-by-step process that will allow you to Capture Android Phone Screens from the comfort of your desktop or laptop computer.
- Go to your computer
- Download the Android SDK from Google, Here.
- Install it to somewhere simple like C:\sdk\
- Go to your Android Phone
- Open the Menu (the one with all your apps in it)
- Go to ‘Settings’
- Go to ‘Applications’
- Go to ‘Development’
- Go to ‘USB Debugging’ and make sure the box has a check in it.
- Get out your USB cable and connect your phone to your Computer
- On your Computer, navigate to C:\sdk\tools\ (or wherever you installed the android sdk earlier)
- Double-click (or right-click then hit Run) on ddms
- Look for your phone in the list of connected devices
- Select your phone (should be the only thing in the list)
- Click ‘Menu’
- Click ‘Device’
- Click ‘Screen Capture’
- Done! The phone screenshots in this post were taken using this method.
